November 23, 2003 - 2 week appointment
Stella weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces, up a couple of ounces from her birth weight. She is still
20 1/2 inches long and seems to be doing great!
January 13, 2004 - 2 month appointment
Stella now weighs 10 pounds and is 23 1/4 inches long! She is in the 25% for her weight
and the 85% for her height. The pediatrician said that she is very healthy and is on a great track for gaining
weight. Stella got her first shots today, which she wasn't a big fan of!
March 18, 2004 - 4 month appointment
Stella now weighs 13 pounds and 13 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. This puts her in the
90% for her height and 50% for weight. She has certainly had a growth spurt! Of course, the pediatrician said
that she is doing great and may very well be a tall lady!
May 13th - 6 month appointment
Stella weighs 16 lbs, 2 ounces and is 26 3/4 inches tall. She is still in the 50% for weight
and the 85% for height. She got another set of shots (no more until she's a year old!) and had her typical checkup.
She's doing great - played with toys while at the doctor's office, and was only upset about the shots for a brief minute.
August 11th - 9 month appointment
Stella was a little grouchy at the appointment today since her top front tooth is coming in! She weighed
in at 17 pounds, 11 ounces and is 28 3/4 inches tall. That means that she is in the 90th percentile for height and 30th
percentile for weight. She had to have her toe pricked so that they could check her iron levels - she hated that as
much as she hates shots (even though her iron level is perfect)!
November 12 - 1 year appointment!
Stella got another round of shots today (including another flu shot! :( ). She is doing well - 95th
percentile of height and 40th of weight. She should hopefully be saying her first words in the next few months (and
knowing what they mean!). And she's been ahead of the game since she's been walking for a couple of months now!
February 14 - 15 months
Stella is 32 1/2 inches tall (95th percentile) and 22 1/2 pounds. She had her last set of shots for
a while (hooray!).
May 16th - 18 months
Stella has figured out what going to the doctor means (shots!) and cried in the office when the doctor tried
to take her blood pressure, check her heart and do the rest of the checkup! No shots though, so maybe she'll be more
at ease next time! She gained about 2 1/2 pounds in three months, moving her up from the 30th percentile in weight to
the 45th. Not to worry though...she still tall and thin and doing marvelously well!
November 14th - 2 years
I can't believe that we are down to yearly appointments now! Time has flown! The doctor told
us that based on her current height (36 1/4"), she will be between 5' 8" and 5' 9" when she's an adult. She's still
in the 97th percentile of height and 50th of weight (26 1/2 pounds). She was very interested in the fish tank and not
so interested in talking to the doctor! :)
Next appointment - 3 years
